Recently we’ve been actively engaging with 4 new organizational partners. We’re working with each of these to help them develop customized training for their workers to increase their fruitfulness, health and how long they faithfully stay on the path of their missionary service. Here’s a quick summary of the organizations and the projects:
- Students International — follow-up training for their new staff in Costa Rica, Guatemala, Dominican Republic and Nicaragua after they have completed new staff orientation.
- Kids Alive — pre-internship orientation and training for college students who complete summer internships in orphan care ministry.
- Five Stones Global — book-based cohort training course about proper attitudes of humility and service for those who serve cross-culturally. The book is called We Are Not the Hero.
- Jews for Jesus — turning a 3-month segment of their year-long training for new missionaries into an online version. They’ve been doing this training in various ways for over 40 years but are now making the jump into 21st century technology to individualize and bring together trainees from all over the world, including Israel, Europe, Canada and the US.
Summer is a slow season for courses, but that gives us unique opportunities to work on the development of new things.
We’re offering a full slate of CIT Next course in August and September. Please pray for many new course registrations to come in and for us to find ways to get the word out to those who need and would benefit from what we offer.
