I’m Mark Morgenstern, the senior director for Grow2Serve and I’d like to share with you a little about myself and what motivates me in ministry…
I grew up in church and in ministry in a family that was very committed to making ourselves continually available to the Lord in any way he wanted to use us. And that is pretty much the perspective I continue in today. It’s been a pleasure to make my own family available to the Lord since Julie and I got married in 1989 and welcomed Daniel (’94), Andrew (’96), Timothy (’00) and Samuel (’01) into our home while we lived in Ukraine (1994-2006) and since then as we’ve ministered in missionary training while living in Minnesota.
I’m driven to help network Christians and particularly Christian ministries together as we grow our desire to see God honored through our unity. Only God can bring us, strong-willed people, together in a way that really displays Him. I’ve been able to be a part of making networking happen in Ukraine, as training Director for Reach Global, with my association with Missio Nexus, and now as I minister with Grow2Serve and Center for Intercultural Training.
The other area that I’m particularly passionate about is seeing people equipped and empowered for ministry. Since I was a child, I’ve been blessed by those who did that for me. And today it is exciting to be allowed to play even a little part in moving brothers and sisters along the way as they grow as disciples and mature as ministers.
I hope that the grow2serve.com global learning network website will help you connect with others, grow in your ministry capabilities and commit ted yourself and your family into God’s hands as he works His will in and through you.
